Image of the Day: Tide Pool, Monterey, CA

I am fascinated by tidepools and love to shoot them with a long shutter speed, polarizing filter, wide angle lens and wet feet! The waves were quite strong, but the slow shutter helped to smooth out the water. I like all of the sea critters on the rocks waiting for their next submersion!

  2. I lived in the Bay Area for nearly my entire life before wanderlust set in. I discovered your blog in a link from Brian Matiash’s post. Love the tidepool shot. Have you ever been to my favorite place for tidepooling, Fitzgeral Marine Reserve on the San Mateo coast? I look forward to treating myself to checking out your other work. The small sample I have seen so far are all magnificent.

    • Thank you so much for the kind words. I am in San Diego and will certainly keep your suggestion in mind – sounds like a great location. I update the Blog daily when I am not travelling (Rome is next week), and certainly the webpage has lots of interesting content as well. I am so happy that you enjoy our work!
