Line Up
This is a shot from a very unique Winery in Napa, California. This is in one of their multiple tasting rooms…I rested the camera on the Bar to stabilize as it was rather dark, so the exposures were long. It’s in the Cellar of a Castle!
Castello di Amorosa (Castle of Love) is an amazing 121,000 square foot stone fortress, complete with guard towers, escape tunnels, a moat, a grand hall with colorful frescoes and massive 500 year old fireplace, family chapels, and a torture chamber furnished with a 15th century iron maiden.
The tasting room is located beneath the castle in a two-acre barrel cellar room that features 14 foot high ceilings, 40 crossed vaulted bays in old, handmade brick, and a travertine bar. In all, there are 107 rooms on seven levels.
There is another room where if one stands right in the middle, your voice sounds commanding and in Stereo. In the same room if one goes to one corner and one whispers a secret message, the person listening in the 180 degree oposite corner can hear it…but nobody else can!
I speculate that older Archittechs had devised this with their accoustical experts for “special efects” to “Wow” visitors about mystical powers. These structures are identical to those in many Churches we visited in Rome…and the Vatican! www.kerstenbeck.com

What a great image today Erik, and I REALLY love your blog entry on it!
