Hey, Yo! TAXI!

You Talkin' To Me?

This is the first of a Series from The Big Apple. Shot from a busy Time’s Square, zooming Taxis, the lights, the energy is something that just has to be experienced first hand.

Formerly named Longacre Square, Times Square was renamed in April 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the newly erected Times Building, which is now called  One Times Square and is the site of the annual  Ball Drop on New Years Eve. Times Square, nicknamed “The Crossroads of the World” and “The Great White Way,” has achieved the status of an iconic world landmark and is a symbol of New York City and the United States.  www.kerstenbeck.com

  3. Wow, Erik! This is amazing!!! The post that you did is spot on. I wish I were this talented, however, I’m still dinkering around in my Lightroom, too afraid of destroying through over processing.

You’ve done a great job on this one. Looking forward to the next shots!

  4. I never knew that about Times Square. This is really good, the dark sky against the vibrant taxis, the theatre posters and the movement – it would make an excellent postcard of the place which I am sure lots of people would buy.

  5. Awesome shot! Very well processed. I like that you left some places dark, it really adds something extra to the photo.
