Nightly Image: Scooters Everywhere, Rome

On the way into the city last week, the Cabbie quipped that Rome was a city of 4 million residents and 1 million scooters. We really didn’t understand until our explorations begain in earnest. On the way to Trevi Fountain, I found this line of parked scooters stretching to as far as the eye could see – they really are the way to get around the chaotic streets of Rome. And more surprising to see a business woman in high heels don her helmet and zip off into traffic. (3 shot HDR, Nikon D90, 24mm)
