Uptown from Downtown

This is another look at the Gaslamp Quarter but from the perspective of looking Uptown!

The Gaslamp Quarter is an area of great architectural charm, its streets lined with original nineteenth-century buildings and others moved in from other parts of the San Diego, all restored to their original exuberance. Restaurants, shops and clubs occupy former brothels and saloons. (Copyright 2011 Kerstenbeck Photographic Art)

I am currently doing a Personal Project (project that is compulsory to complete the middle years program) I want it to be about street photography and showing through my pictures, a diffferent way of viewing the streets. I have no experience because I have never done photography in any way and I was hoping maybe you could give me a few quick tips. I don’t have a profesional camera and I don’t want the pictures to be superb since i’m going to use a normal small digital camera.

    • Hi
This sounds like an awesome project. You really so not need a professional camera to get really good “Street Photography” images. Most street photography revolves are story telling – making each image convey a mood, theme or just a though provoking image. Let us know how we can help!
