Built Like A Ford

This is a shot from a Vintage Car show in Lido California. This glistening bumper caught our eye on this dazzling Ford.

Ford Motor Company is an  American automaker based in Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of  Detroit. The automaker was founded by  Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. His introduction of the  Model T Automobile revolutionized transportation and American industry. As owner of the Ford Motor Company, he became one of the richest and best-known people in the world.

Ford introduced methods for large-scale manufacturing of cars and large-scale management of an industrial workforce using elaborately engineered manufacturing sequences typified by moving  assembly lines. Henry Ford’s methods came to be known around the world as  Frodism by 1914.

His intense commitment to systematically lowering costs resulted in many technical and business innovations, including a  franchise system that put a dealership in every city in North America, and in major cities on six continents. Ford left most of his vast wealth to the  Ford Foundation but arranged for his family to control the company permanently.

  1. Nice shot! I like how the trees in the background create the green streak in the reflection.

  6. I love this photo! You must have put some thought into it. The photo looks bright, classic, and happy. It gives me nostalgia. and the tasteful red Ford mark made me think of Coca Cola (of course).
